Celebrate Christmas with us as we discover its significance in The Lord of the Rings. In his saga, J. R. R. Tolkien never explicitly references Christianity or the Christmas holiday. In his own subtle way, however, Tolkien reveals to us the hope of Christmas. (Hint: The Fellowship departs Rivendell on December 25).

We will have trivia, a prize drawing, Christmas treats, and a presentation on the Christmas theme of hope that is evident in The Lord of the Rings, echoing the truths of Christian Scripture.
