COVID-19 and CLBC (Update)

We are continuing to respond to developing information related to COVID-19. Today, Minnesota officials have provided guidelines to help mitigate the spread of the virus. The officials have requested that gatherings of 250 or more cancel or postpone. Our average attendance is small enough that we can continue to meet while following the other current guidelines.

Because the situation is fluid, we can make plans only for this Sunday. Communication about events beyond Sunday’s gathering will go out as soon as there is clarity. As it relates to Sunday’s gathering, please note the following:

  • There will be no Bible Classes on Sunday.
  • There will be the regular morning service. We will open the church doors by 10:30 AM, aiming to begin the service at 10:45 AM as usual.
  • There will be no Communion this week. We will plan to observe the Lord’s Supper again, Lord willing, on April 5.

Please also consider the following as you determine whether or not to attend on Sunday

  • If you or your child/children are exhibiting any cold or flu-like symptoms, please stay home.
  • If you are over age 60 with health struggles, we encourage you to stay home.
  • If you are not sick and under 60, but think it best to stay home, please do so, even if you are scheduled for a particular responsibility.
  • For those who attend, please refrain from physical contact with each other, such as handshakes and hugs.
  • Please take extra care to observe hygienic practices, especially relating to hand washing.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. We are happy to talk together as we seek to respond appropriately to this situation. If you desire to speak with either of the elders, please reach out to us by phone or by email.

We will continue to communicate as necessary in the days ahead as we monitor the situation and the governmental directives. As mentioned previously, we trust the Lord with whatever he puts before us, even when it requires us to shift our normal patterns and plans.
